The USG-2 converts a USB port into a bidirectional serial interface for communication with NMEA 0183 devices is needed.
Compared to simple USB to serial converters a much more secure connection to NMEA 0183 system is guaranteed.
By using the ISO-DriveTM output and the opto-isolated input a galvanic separation. Thus, the data lines can be easily connected without form ground loops.
