Eine Notantenne sollte zur Sicherheitsausstattung jeder seegehenden Yacht gehören. Beispielsweise bei Mastbruch, Blitzeinschlag oder sonstigem Verlust der Hauptantenne kann die Notantenne schnell und unkompliziert zum Beispiel am Heckkorb montiert werden und die Möglichkeit zum Sprechfunk und ggf. AIS-Datenübertragung ist wiederhergestellt.
