In the case of PV island systems that are exposed to extreme weather and ambient conditions (e.g. street lighting or navigation buoy), there is an increased risk of default in power electronics. In order to ensure reliable battery protection under these conditions, Phocos developed the fully filled loader CIS. The CIS industrial district regulator fulfills the protection class IP68 and is suitable for all PV applications. The controller offers a four-stage PWM charging process, deep discharge protection and flexible load-timer functions. A multi-LED display provides information about the system status. The CIS loader is available in two versions: Version Singleload with Dimm output (CIS): The CIS has a load exit and a control output for dimmable lamp operating devices. Version dualload with two load outputs (CIS-2L): The CIS-2L has two load outputs to control two loads independently. There are no moving parts, switches or buttons on the CIS. Battery type, depth load limits, timer and other configuration values are set via the infrared remote control. The cable connections of the CIS avoid the problems that are otherwise frequently occurring at high moisture and adverse environmental conditions (dust, water, vermin, chemicals, shock).
